Susan Kaul works with Altitude Edge clients as a consultant and coach to ensure effectiveness at all levels of the organization. She has more than 20 years experience in business and organization development. Ms. Kaul’s expertise is in managing change, workplace competency, 360-degree feedback, leadership development and the implementation of talent management programs.
Dr. Richard Schamp, M.D., C.M.D., C.H.C.Q.MSenior Medical Consultant
Dr. Richard Schamp has an extensive background in geriatrics and end-of-life care, as well as strong administrative experience. He brings a unique combination of talents to Altitude Edge, supporting PACE providers in the areas of Medicare risk adjustment, medical quality management and physician training and practices. Dr. Schamp is a certified medical director and frequent speaker on evidence-based medicine. He currently serves on the National PACE Association’s Primary Care Committee and Board of Directors.
Dorothy Ginsberg, RNSenior PACE Consultant
Prior to joining Altitude Edge, Dorothy Ginsberg led the development and implementation of New Jersey’s PACE infrastructure. As the State’s PACE Administrator, Ms. Ginsberg worked closely with new PACE programs to provide technical assistance as they operationalized their programs. Ms. Ginsberg previously supervised the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services state-funded home and community-based programs and was Project Director for two federal grants bringing home-based and supportive services to New Jersey’s frail elders and their caregivers. She chaired the New Jersey Caregivers Best Practices conference, attended by 300 aging network professionals, and was a member of the Governor’s Stakeholders Task Force on the Olmstead Supreme Court decision that reaffirmed the rights of persons with disabilities to live in the community. In 2011 she was the recipient of the National PACE Association’s Public Service Award for her efforts in bringing PACE to New Jersey. Ms. Ginsberg is a sought-after presenter on home and community-based long-term care.
Marguerite Riles Parzen, RN, C-GNPClinical Consultant
Marguerite Riles Parzen has experience with all aspects of geriatric medicine, from memory impairment to end-of-life care. Her primary area of expertise is caring for frail elderly. Ms. Parzen has practiced in a wide variety of clinical settings, including large metropolitan hospitals, outpatient geriatric clinics, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities and home health care environments. She has extensive experience working with PACE organizations, where she has served as a clinician, an administrator and a consultant.
PACE Consultant
John Stolze has more than 15 years healthcare management experience, including multi-specialty physician group practices, managed care contracting associations, and community-based long term care. His background includes experience with PACE project management as well as PACE development. He has served as interim CEO for Alexian Brothers Community Services PACE as well as filling in for an interim Executive Director for a pre-developing PACE program. He offers experience in strategic planning, organizational turnaround and finance.
Joni Reilly-HallMarketing and Enrollment Consultant
Joni Reilly-Hall’s expertise as a marketing consultant expands Altitude Edge’s range of capabilities and services for providers of aging services, including operators of PACE, adult day health centers, retirement communities, assisted and independent living communities. Ms. Reilly-Hall has more than 20 years of diverse health care experience with an emphasis in marketing and community outreach.
Gabriele SarbaughPACE Project Coordinator
Gabriele Sarbaugh has been with Altitude Edge Consultants since 2007. She plays an integral role in the pre-development phase of PACE program implementation. Sarbaugh is the lead coordinator of the PACE application process. She assists in the development of the PACE application, researches state regulations and submits documents to the state administering agency and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She acts as a liaison and resource for clients throughout the application process. Sarbaugh graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in communication. Sarbaugh was on the dean’s list and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honors Fraternity at the University of Colorado.
Kristina PortilloCorporate Services Coordinator
Kristina Portillo brings a combination of business administration, marketing and PACE experience to Altitude Edge Consultants. She supports Altitude Edge principals and consultants, coordinating their schedules and assisting with the preparation of client reports, presentations and other business-related documents. She also assists with accounting and bookkeeping and acts as website administrator. She earned her bachelor of business administration in marketing from Chaminade University in Honolulu.
