DENVER – Altitude Edge Consultants, a consulting firm with extensive experience in senior health care, has opened a new office at 525 3rd Ave. in Longmont to accommodate growth within the firm. The company has recently entered agreements with several health care providers to develop plans for implementing Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), an innovative model of community-based health care and social services for the elderly.

Altitude Edge is a broad-based consulting firm specializing in the development and management of PACE programs. Altitude Edge also provides a wide-array of services for community- and facility-based organizations, including continuing care retirement communities, independent and assisted living facilities, adult day centers, transportation and senior housing providers. Altitude Edge offers comprehensive management services ranging from start-up to ongoing and turn-around solutions.

Altitude Edge was founded by David Reyes and Ronda Schumacher, who have a combined 50 years experience in health care services. Prior to forming Altitude Edge in 2005, Reyes served nine years as president and CEO of Total Longterm Care in Denver, one of the original and largest PACE locations nationwide. Prior to co-founding Altitude Edge, Schumacher was vice president of PACE Operations for Total Longterm Care.

Both Reyes and Schumacher have served on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Association of Homes and Services for the Aging and National PACE Association (NPA). Both are frequent presenters at the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging and NPA.
