DENVER, Colo. – Dec. 7, 2008 – Altitude Edge Consultants, a health care consulting firm, has been selected by South Jersey Healthcare to initiate a PACE program in Vineland, NJ, to be called South Jersey Healthcare LIFE (Living Independently For Elders). PACE (Program of All- Inclusive Care for the Elderly) programs are Medicare and Medicaid-certified services that involve a team approach to caring for a senior living at home in the community.

As a PACE provider, South Jersey Healthcare LIFE will provide an integrated network of preventive and supportive care for seniors so they can remain healthy and in the least restrictive environment. PACE is cost-effective for funding sources and good for the well being of the elderly participant.

Specifically, Altitude Edge Consultants will complete a study of feasibility for a PACE program, develop a business plan, prepare and submit the PACE provider application, and provide PACE program development support and ongoing operational and marketing support for the program when it opens.

South Jersey Healthcare is a nonprofit health care organization that has served Southern New Jersey for 15 years but traces its roots to 1898 when the original Bridgeton Hospital opened its doors. Comprehensive hospital services are provided at both SJH Elmer Hospital and the SJH Regional Medical Center, a 262-bed, state-of-the art hospital.
