DENVER, Colo. – Nov. 24, 2008 – Midland Care has secured the services of Altitude Edge Consultants, a health care consulting firm, for an organizational effectiveness audit. PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) programs are Medicare and Medicaid-certified services that involve a team approach to caring for a senior living at home in the community.

Based in Topeka, Kan., Midland Care PACE is a nonprofit, community-based healthcare organization that provides medical care and other supportive services to seniors in Douglas, Jackson, Jefferson, Osage, Pottawatomie, Shawnee and Wabaunsee counties in northeastern Kansas. Because it provides an integrated network of medical and social services for the elderly, PACE is cost-effective for funding sources and good for the well being of its participants.

Specifically, Altitude Edge Consultants will complete a thorough review of Midland Care PACE’s systems, human resources and finances. Based on this audit, Altitude Edge Consultants will make recommendations to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of Midland Care PACE, positioning the program to better serve elderly residents within its service areas.
